Ashok is an engineer with the search team at eBay. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the North Carolina State University, where Munindar Singh was his advisor.
Ashok was formerly involved in architecting a state-of-the-art service delivery and execution platform at Veraz Networks in San Jose.
Ashok has authored several peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences relating to Multiagent systems, Software engineering, Web Services, and Business Process automation and management. Ashok also serves as co-chair of the IEEE FIPA (Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents) working group on Agent and Web Service Interaction.

In the distant past, Ashok has also interned with IBM, doing Web Services work for the SmallTalk Server Group in Raleigh, NC, with Glaxo Smithkline, data mining for the Chemoinformatics Group in Durham, NC, and for Texas Instruments, automating software development processes for the Raster Image Processing Group at the Texas Instruments Asia Development Center in Bangalore. |
